Remember Why You Want It!
I try to do this daily, if not multiple times a day. I've learned that if your "why" is strong enough, you'll find a way to accomplish your goals. If not, then you'll find an excuse for failure or accepting less than you deserve.
Don't sell yourself short. Remember why you want it! Then do whatever it takes to Dominate Your Local Market!

It's Always The Time
It's Always The Time
There is never a wrong time to be marketing. It's Always The Time!
Since there are so many ways to market and people are online all the time, you literally have 24 hours to share your message.
Engage your social networks. Blog, write an article. Like they said in Glengarry Glen Ross, "Always be closing". Or in the case of Internet Marketing, always be marketing and before you know it, you'll Dominate Your Local Market!

Automate It
Automate It!
Let's be honest, trying to keep up with your follow up can be a full time job. Email marketing to your list, text messaging, managing Facebook, Twitter, a blog, writing articles, etc. It's all important, but if you're not using systems to automate it, it can take a lot of time and effort to manage it all.
Time is our most valuable commodity. We can't get our time back. So it's important to use proven systems to automate as much of our online marketing as possible. The good news is that these systems are available and can be implemented quickly, allowing you to focus on your business.
Automate It and you can Dominate Your Local Market!

Diversify!
Today's tip is Diversify!
Don't focus all of your marketing efforts on one channel. If you do, you're ignoring a ton of prospective customers.
In Internet Marketing, a mix of email marketing, social networking and search engine optimization is important. Don't forget about the popular photo and video networks either. A good picture or video could go viral and spread your message like wildfire.
Don't forget about old school marketing efforts like direct mail either. I'm testing a direct mail campaign right now, partnering with a local mailing list company and if I get a 1% conversion rate it will be a very successful campaign.
Diversify your marketing efforts and you'll Dominate Your Local Market!

This might hurt a little...
I was reading through a bunch of Bliss Sawyers Marketing Tidbits. Bliss shares some amazing information, if you're not following her on Twitter or you don't subscribe to her newsletter, I can't recommend her enough. I read the following from her September 13, 2011 Marketing Tidbits and had to post it. Bliss posted this almost 7 months ago and I think it's a fresh idea that any entrepreneur can use to increase production. I know, sometimes I struggle with this myself. Bliss ROCKS!!! Thanks Bliss!!!

I've had a few interesting conversations with loan officers recently.... They have gone something like this:
LO: "I'm worried about my production, especially when rates go back up."
ME: "About how many hours are you at the office?"
LO: "I work about 40 hours a week"
ME: "How many hours do you spend marketing?"
LO: "Not many"
ME: "Well, if you work 40 hours a week and your are closing an average of (put your own number here) then each loan is taking you about (number of loans divided into 40 hours). I think you have quite a bit of time for marketing.
This is always a shock to actually do this calculation. The reason I do this is because I want loan officers to realize that they are wasting an enormous amount of time by just being at the office. And it usually comes down to computer time.
Here's an activity that can help you break the cycle of wasting time on the computer. For one week, track your time on the computer. Then set specific time blocks to be away from the computer doing your marketing. You may struggle to break away from your current habits, but your future production is depending on you to do it!
